Refilling Information for Model 400
- Shut off water ahead of feeder.
- Open drain valve after feeder and relieve line pressure.
- Unscrew top (No. 4) and remove adjustment tube (No. 8) to drain unit and replace with a clean tube and cap (No. 7). To clean the removed tube and cap, soak in a mixture of Muriatic Acid. One part Muriatic Acid to 5 parts water. Always pour the acid into the water. ADHERE TO THE WARNINGS FOR HANDLING AND USE OF MURIATIC ACID. Tube and Cap can also be cleaned by soaking in white vinegar over night or longer.
- Unit Housing needs cleaning when center hole has built-up (under tube No. 8). Unscrew unions (No. 14), remove housing and soak in same mixture of Muriatic Acid as tube No. 8 until clean. Be sure flow arrow is in the same direction when reinstalling housing.
- Fill with chlorine tablets to the bottom of cap (No. 7) and do not add water to the unit or operation will be inhibited. It may take a few pump cycles before chlorine is dispensed.
- Replace top (No. 4) and close drain valve.
- Turn on water.
If unit is used for odor removal, do not refill until odor returns to minimize chemical use. |
